Remember when I said that I wanted to step away from tried and true retailers like ASOS, Zara and H&M? Trust and believe me, those fast fashion retailers are still high on my list of places to shop. However, can we mix it up a little?
I mean, how many times can my eyes handle seeing the same twelve pieces walking the runways of Instagram. I promise I love a good quality piece at the right price point. So, I over understand the obsession.
Ever since I’ve been in New York, I’ve been able to explore new (to me) emerging and established designers. There’s so much talent here and I’m just honored to be able to share it with you all.
With that, I need you all to get into Oxosi, the premier luxury retailer for African designers. They feature ‘makers’ like South African Accessories designer, Pichulik (who I’ve featured here), Brother Vellies, and my new favorite, Maki Oh.
In today’s look, I’m featuring a dress from MaXhosa by Laduma. I added the yellow trimmed raincoat from ASOS, ripped Cult Denim boyfriend jeans, the red stunners from Giuseppe Zanetti and a fun clutch from Zara. See, even when I’m trying not to, I still can’t help adding a piece or two from some of my favorite fast fashion retailers.
